Bike will start manually but not with electric start. Starter relay just clicks. Is there a way to test before i just go by a new starter relay?

I bought a 2004 Eiger 5 speed. The guy I got it from let it sit 3 months in the winter. It would start up but not idle and die out when you revved it up. I took carb off soaked it, cleaned jets, reset floats, new gas. It would sart but flood after a few seconds. Tore it down again. Now it won't start. Gas runs out the vent tube!!!! Sometimes the plug is wet sometimes not. Have good consistent spark and the flywheel had been changed out. Any ideas?! Is it a vacuum issue? Maybe carb boot between carb and head? And I checked the fuel flow from the pitcock so I don't believe that's the issue.

Im new here Hello to everyone. I have 05 Eiger 400 4x4 Automatic that want go into forward gear. I can run all day long in reverse without any issues. I took the engine out and the front and rear drive shafts turn very free both directions if this will help. With the engine out and seems to be free in both directions its got me thinking could it be in the automatic shifter. maybe a solenoid or something like that. I would really appreciate any help. Hello, I have a 2005 Suzuki Eiger Quad runner. 400 4x4 Auto Starts ok. But when I push on the throttle, it stalls. Maybe the carb needs adjusted? There is some kind adjustment wheel that turns. I suppose this adjust fuel/air mix to carb. Either way I turn that, it still stalls when gas applied. Our Suzuki dealer is no longer here, Honda will not work on it...

My friends Suzuki eiger 400 4x4 won't stay running for more than a couple seconds on the first initial start up when it's cold. The temp light comes on but it's cold?? And it's an air cooled engine. Carb is clean and has fresh gas and new plug. could use some help thanks

I was riding my wheeler the other day shut it off to go in for lunch and when I came back out to start it again all it would do is crank over. Tried a new plug but still nothing. I have power to both wires that go to the coil. I am wondering were i go from here?

I'm hoping to buy a 2004 Eiger tomorrow and the seller doesn't have an owners manual. I'm new to this forum and atv's, any place I can download an owners manual for this model? Thanks, Rick

I just got this wheeler it runs and drives good it has a 2inc lift with 26inc tusk tires on it the only thing is that the front tires pigeon toe out. it has new balljoints on it and nothing looks bent is this normal or not?

I have a 2004 Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4 manual that i would like to install a jet Kit on. I was told that Its a good idea to jet them when you snorkel them. Im kinda new to the atv game and do a lot of hardcore mudding. so please any suggestions on what brand and what size jet to start out with would be greatly appreciated!

First, I'm a mechanical novice, so please bear with my ignorance, I'm trying. 02 Eiger LTA400 - 4wd Auto 400 Picked it up on the cheap due to assumed broken drive belt (motors starts, goes nowhere). Also has to be pull-started, seems starter is shot (or wiring is). Pulled the cover off for the drive belt and definitely toast. Thing is he said he replaced not long ago, so suspicious of why it would break so quickly. He thought he had the wrong part, but looking at the part packaging, looks right to me (Dayco HP2027 - admittedly not highest quality belt, but still). I'm not an expert, but the primary and secondary do not seem to be lined up correctly? Any clues on this? Trying to upload pics to show... Broken Belt Alignment Help please! Brian

My Eiger, is not running well. It starts fine, however it kills whenever I throttle it up. When I hit the gas it sputters and backfires. I have checked the air filter, it is fine, there is no exhaust impedance, the fuel is fresh and clean, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hello,i have a 2002 Eiger that i bought new,i have only put 900 miles on it,it stays in my garage most of the time,last oct. it started out the engine would die till it got warmed up,now it misses and pops i dont know it its a backfire or not,but it seems to do it most when im in 1st gear,when i shift to 2nd and up it runs great,it more in higher rpm,it did sit up for about 3 months before it started doing this,does anyone have any anwsers for this?Thanks

I have a 2005 Suzuki Eiger that the brake light is on all the time. It comes on as soon as the key is turned on. Any ideas?

Ok on top of my brake issue I am also having a low voltage issue. The atv runs great it's just the lights/fan do not work and the battery does not charge. (Have to start with recoil start). I tested the wires that are coming from the stator for the charging part (3 black wires) and they all range from 1.3 volts to 1.8 volts it gets higher as the engine goes slower and the lights get brighter as you are killing the engine. Now when I idle it a little higher it stays steady at 1.18 volts. What is going on here is the stator bad or what else can I do for diagnosis. Thanks

Hey all I hope all is going well for everyone. 2003 EIGER 5 spd - I need the part# for a the 4x4/4x2 switch- The one up on the handelbar. Mine broke the other day. I took it apart last night and there is a small white piece that hooks to the cable. It's broken. I'm probably going to have to get the entire setup switch and cable. - That's ok I'll jut replace the entire cale and all. ANyone help please with the part# for the entire setup? Where is best place ot get it? My local dealer??

Hypothetical situation - You are int eh market for a new (used) 4 wheeler and you have the opportunity to buy either a 2003 Eiger 400 with less than 500 miles or a 2007 Eiger with over 2000 miles which would you rather have? Both are in good condition. The '03 is lots cleaner. But the '07 is still very clean. Both have been maintained. Both were owned by 'older' idividuals both were kept inside out of the weather. Which would you rather have? age or miles? What's the big difference between the '03 & '07? Any input would be great. Price is not an issue. oh yea both are manuals -

plug is fine, we've checked the stater, fly wheel, coil, ignition, and still can't get it to start I got a 400ltz CDI to try becuz we think its the CDI but when I plug the new one in it pops fuzes...can i use it or am i missing something else? any help would be appreciated

Ok we have been riding today and noticed the brakes get progressively worse. I tightened up the cable and they were good for a while, but then about an hours or two later there was no rear brake again. So I took the tire and cover off and noticed about a mm of pad left on each shoe and the smell of burnt wires or something like that. I also noticed that it looked like there is supposed to be some kind of oil or something inside the drum, because there is an o-ring around the brake assembly that the drum cover goes onto, and some oil residue or something inside it. Could anyone possibly give me a walkthrough on how to properly replace the shoes and if there is any oil or something that is supposed be in there. Thanks Mike

My friend has a '04 400 eiger 4x4. he took it through the mud and it died. ever since it doesnt run very good and it smokes really bad. we drained all the fluids and filled them again. we did that a couple times cause it was still smokin. my thoughts are the piston wall is gouged out but i dont know. any ideas? also where can i find a good diagram of the motor in case we have to tear it down?

My rear brake is stuck. When I try to go forwards or backwards the brake stays engaged and squeals. I searched and found out that the brake lines get dirty and need to be greased up...I will give that a shot as soon as I can. It seems as though the handle bar rear brake is really loose but I couldn't find anywhere to tighten it down. I don't know if these two things are related - any ideas???

Well I just finished installing a new Viper 3000 winch on my 02 Eiger. Here are some pics how it turned out. The silicon was still wet when I took the pics and will dry clear.
