Fastest Engine Belt Change
Ajmboy replied to mywifeknowseverythin's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
That's pretty cool. -
My friend has a big bear sitting in the garage. I'm not sure the year..but like DD said...it wouldn't have been worth it. 6X6 would be cool. If you get it, post some pics.

Mule deer - Whitetail deer cross???
Ajmboy replied to Alaskasunrise's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
Maybe it was a hybrid deer... It's very possible that it was a cross. -
Lean condition....just like DD said.

Welcome to QUADCRAZY! I see you are from the land down under!! Be sure to post some pictures when you have some time. I and others would love to see the riding in Australia. What year is this machine? You may want to check with the dealer for a program update on that atv to compensate for hot climates. Is the fan turning on allot? Sounds to me like it just is not coming on frequently enough. * Adjusted your thread title to include make and model, for better responses.

Fuel Gauge Replacement 1997 Yamaha Kodiak 400
Ajmboy replied to coderunner's topic in Yamaha ATV Forum
what parts...gauge or level sensor..or both? -
I understand the calendar idea...but every month in the contest, there is a theme under which to enter under. So they could use the best mud photo, or best racing photo...whatever within a calendar. Why don't you post some new theme examples...because I'm still not understanding exactly what type of ATV theme(s) you are thinking about.

Fuel Gauge Replacement 1997 Yamaha Kodiak 400
Ajmboy replied to coderunner's topic in Yamaha ATV Forum
What are you replacing, the gauge or the level/sensor in the tank? What is actually broken? -
Reviving an old thread... My buddy just bought a 2008 SPORTRAX 250 EX 2WD for $2199 from Troy city garage in New York so the deals are out there for name brand. He bought it to screw around on. He also owns a 2009 rancher.
-
Yeah, I'm scared of those off brands.
-
Welcome aboard! Both great quads. I used to own a 2004 Kodiak 450 and a 1987 Warrior...
-
Welcome to QUADCRAZY, I used to own a 2004 Kodiak 450, loved that machine also.
-
How do you like that quad? Is it independent rear suspension or solid axle? It uses the 700 frame I believe. Does it ever feel under powered?

Just like DD said. Soemthing is hanging up. If it's the wrong clutch kit, that could be a problem. Did you compare old and new parts?

What Photo Contests would you like to see?
Ajmboy replied to quadcrazy's topic in QUADCRAZY Contests
No I guess I assumed it..... -
Here are some areas to troubleshoot..right from a warrior manual (notice what DD said...as a possibility with the valves): If timing or Firing incorrect: Spark plug dirty, broken, or maladjusted Spark plug cap shorted or not in good contact Spark plug incorrect Ignition coil trouble Fuel/air mixture incorrect: Main jet clogged or wrong size Jet needle or needle jet worn Air jet clogged Fuel level in carburetor float bowl too high or too low Bleed holes of air bleed pipe or needle jet clogged Air cleaner clogged, poorly sealed, or missing Air cleaner duct poorly sealed Water of foreign matter in fuel Carburetor holder loose Fuel tank air vent obstructed Fuel tap clogged Fuel line clogged Compression low: Spark plug loose Cylinder head not.sufficiently tightened down No valve clearance Cylinder, piston worn Piston ring bad (worn, weak, broken, or sticking) Piston ring/land clearance excessive Cylinder head gasket damaged Cylinder head warped Valve spring broken or weak Valve not seating properly (valve bent, worn, or carbon accumulation on the seating surface.)

Wow, nice idea. So I guess you know how to weld!!! What are your dimensions going to be? Are you puting a a gate in the back?
