hey everyone I have a 1993 big bear 350 that I got an after market stator for it but there was no plug on the four main wires. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which wires go where on my bike. From the bike I have red, blue, yellow, and white/green, and from the stator I have green, brown, red, and white. If you can tell me thanks.

Gents, First off, I have spent a week browsing your Forum, but now I must join and find answers, please assist. Soon to be retired US Marine, I live in the woods of Maine, I purchased a used ATV, listed above. I have a Clymers Manual. ( uuhh not real easy to read with out my crayons and Pop-up pictures). When Purchased, I knew it needed work. This is a father son project ( he is 13), in parts, in the basement.. no brakes, electrical wire dis-allowed the electric starter to work, ( fixed easily) choke frozen, rear bearings shot, close to impossible to start, stop light brake switch electric broken, speedo cable broken. Description of work done: 1- new rear bearings-purchased "boss bearings" 2-new choke cable and assembly - was stuck in the carb, and cable was frozen 3-new rear bushings on suspension arms- were frozen/seized during the bearings removal 4-new front, rear breaks,- drums being turned this week at local machine shop 5-brake master cylinder-top screw being tapped out- .. was stripped and broken 6-miscilaniouse OEM parts and bolts ordered from Partzilla and Rockymoutnain parts- so far good fits: bushings, bushing bolts, air filter assembly, choke assemble, wheel brake cylinder: springs/gaskets bolts, master cylinder rebuild kit. to be fixed- ANY AND ALL Advice to all next steps: 1-Wheel Brake Cylinders to be rebuilt- cylinders in local machine shop being "honed" A- hints and suggestions ? I have new gaskets, bolts, rubber, and springs. OEM 2- I need a New Muffler Exhaust: Hard to find?? any ideas? 3- Speedo Cable assemby on order 4. MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION AND HELP: Carburator engine NOT starting: below is what I know to be true: a. reassembled carefully back in place after choke assembly was replaced b. checked ALL Fuel lines, steady streams ! c. Starter switch works- d. spark plug is not fouled, blue spark, damp. e. electric is working f. tried eather / quick start - NO catching of spark to make engine go "vroom" g. no visible oil or fuel leaks on engine head or crank case h. when inspecting air intake at filter, it appears the carb is shooting air back into the filter, NOT into the carb..?? this normal?? Well, I hope this didnt bore you, and you can provide some insight on all or any items? Help this Marine out please? Frankfort, Maine..USA

New Guy here, 38 Yrs old Soon to be retired US Marine. Lives in Frankfort Maine USA. I have a 2009 Honda trx500fa9, I bought when I was wounded to get around. I love it, Been on serious over nighters with it. recently joined my local ATV Club..very cool! I bought a father son project- not going soo well, needs lots of help and advice- 1993 Suzuki LT-F4WDX P KING QUAD I posted my first thread about it in manufacture specific area- read the best i can to see similar issues..?? anyways- glad to be here, and anything i can share for help or guidance , just let me know.

I have a 93 LT-F4WDX and the clutch is slipping and not engaging. so far if i let it warm up for a while it will go, but not anywhere fast and even the slightest water will disengage the clutch. I have been limping it along by putting thicker oil in it, but now I wanna know how to actually fix it. Do you have any ideas on what parts I need? what is broken and how do I fix it? THANK YOU!

I need to know what the dimensions are on the shorter female yoke. I have 2 of the longer ones,need to machine down one of them. What I need is the distance between the center of the Spider hole to the top or end where the shaft slips in. Part #s 49177-1080 & 49177-1081. If anyone can help I would be most grateful. I took on this frame swap job for My Landlord, and its becoming a nightmare of mis ordered parts. I have access to a Mill & Lathe so I would rather whittle one down than wait for more parts. It appears from the parts diagram that the shorter one has a groove on the outside. Thanks Guys

I recently purchased a 1993 Yamaha Big Bear 350 for $300 from a guy at work who could not get it running, getting rid of old fuel and changing the plug it fired up, it has a new carb rebuild that was done before i bought it, problem i have is that it only starts and runs on half choke, even in the -15 celcius canadian weather today. im not sure where to start on this, any help would be great, thanks.

hey everybody so im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard plate ...I rebuilt my top end last week took it out and was running decent I added a lil more oil so I kept fouling plugs (my fault) but as I was going home I got about 500 yards away and I broke my clutch cable so I rode it home and put it away... I got my clutch cable and put it on and she feel over and broke my throttle tube.... now it dosnt wanna start I took my top end back off and the the top was just full of coolant I drained everything and what not and its all back together ...it still wont start I have gas good compression and air the only thing it leaves is spark or electrical issues.. any insight on how to fix my problem would be greatly apprecitated

Having trouble with a bayou 94 Kawasaki 300 that's been sat up for a year. Installed the honda carberator cleaned tank put new gas . After all of this it ran with a rough idle but it did run I ran it for about 45 minutes. Next day it will not start any suggestions?

Hey all, I just bought a 1993 350 4X4. It's in good shape and appears to have been fairly well taken care of. I've been going through it servicing and inspecting it. The owners manual says to check the counter balance oil, and to top it off with 10/30. Only the manual just shows the drain plug and not the fill plug. I took a picture of what I believe is the fill, in the red circle about the pull start, but I wanted to confirm. I know the plug to the left is the transmission fluid fill and it's full, but the plug on the right in the circle is dry. Also, just what is the counter balance, what does it do? TIA!

I am picking the machine mentioned above and it has an exhaust leak at the engine. The previous owner implied it was just held on with springs, but I was curious as to weather there were bolts also and hoping that I don't have to deal with getting studs, out etc. Any advice appreciated. New to the forum and the world of Polaris's too. Thanks.

I bought our son his first quad last week, we took it out today, rode for almost 2 hours no problem. We stopped at an overlook area and when we went to leave his bike wouldn't start. He was parked on a pretty steep incline, so we coasted it to a flatter area. Still nothing. looked around for a bit, tried a few mins later and it was fine... Rode another 5 mins and it just cut out, let sit for 5 and would start back up, did this maybe 3 more times and finally I got to tow strap and pulled him out. Got back home to untrailer it and it started just fine. I checked the plug, looked clean, checked the gap, made a small adjustment. Plenty of oil, coolant and fuel. I did run it out of fuel before this trip and had to switch to the reserve... I took the fuel filter out and blow trough it both ways. I drove it up and down the street and seams to run great... We are planning on taking a long trip in the morning, but dont want this happening again... I was looking at the carb and it raised a question for me. On the left side on the carb, near the top, by the CKG stamp is a nipple, looks like a hose should be attached there...there isnt. what goes there and could dust be getting in there and causing the stall? Like I said, I ran it up and down the street since I have been home, and it seams fine now, but then again it seamed fine for the first 2 hours we were out today too. Thanks for any ideas!!

I have a 1993 honda 300 trx and i used to ride it a basiclly sea level, now i live in the mountains and am riding at 1500-2500 feet above sea level. Im wondering if there is any carb adjustment i should do. Thanks

everything sounds ok spark ok when it is out of hole exhaust has pressure and suction at intake but will not start or fire even with starting fluid cannt figure it out and can not find service manual download free do not know if timing is ok can not figure out how to line up marks with out instruction

I have a 93 kingquad that I need help with. It over heats and cant figure out why and hoping some one here can help me. Have stuck a few bucks into it and no change. Put the new right jets in it. Exaused rocker. Head gasket. New boot. It runs real nice and drives but after 15 minutes of run time the exuast gets red. I am stuck and dont know where to turn. Hoping someone here has some advise for me. Any thing you can tell me would be great. THanks

I recently traded for an old polaris 400 for one of my kids. I have little experience with Polaris quads (I'm used to Yamaha) and the guy told me that he thought the last time he tried to work on it, it didn't have a spark. Any suggestions on where to start with this thing? I haven't tried anything yet but it hasn't ran in 2 years.

Hello All, I am in need of a little professional help. I have a 1993 350l. The other day It was running great. I took it for a ride around the house and pulled back into the garage. This is when it all happened. It was idling fine for a few min when all of a sudden it back fired (sounded like a shot gun going off) I could not get it started. I left it for several days and tried to start again with no luck. The only way I could get it to even pop was to spray starting fluid in the carb. I figured it was a carb issue so I rebuilt it again with no luck. Tore top of engine down to discover a hair line crack in the bottom of the piston skirt. Rebuilt top end with a wiseco piston. Had it bored and matched to the new piston .5mm over. I have great compression 125psi. However the engine will still not start same simptoms. Is it possible that when the engine back fired it took out a crank seal? What else could be the issue. I have good spark, fuel, and compression. Thank you

Need help to start what i have done new piston and cylinder bored crank seal plugs carb kit (Had bad piston when bought atv) problem I have no power runs rough and smokes have 110 compression looks like good fire stator is in correct position just dont know how to tell if there is a carb issue any help?

i have a 93 trx 300 and have lost my electric start,my neutral light flickers very dim at idle and goes completely out when revved up, as does my reverse light i was wondering if anyone might have an idea what the problem could be.

have a 93 kawasaki buyou 400 it will run fine most times but some times you will be going and it will stall and wont start but if you let it sit for a little bit it will start and run fine but some times when you start it it wont rev up all the way if you try to it will bog then back fire
