    the coil is the best try, they start breaking down when hot, then when cooled off seem to run fine again ...

    if you can check the gear the starter end slides into, it should move freely ... starter end >> gear >> flywheel

    i think you have a bad connection, more likely at the solenoid. i always sandpaper everything shiny then dielectric grease it, should be all thats wrong.

    you might need to shim it so the starter gear is closer to the flywheel ...

    just let it soak 24 hours. then after in another bucket with warm clean water, swirl it around and then spray it with carb clean. the pine sol is ok with all the rubber fittings too. i cleaned my carb to what i thought was perfect before, but never was right. after the pine sol treatment, it works great !!

    i have read that if you disconnect the multipin to the pod display, clean it, and dielectric grease it, that may solve it. if you can raise the rear of the bike, rotate the wheels separately, if you dont have resistance on the left one, you might have an axle/cv joint problem ... hopefully an A/C guy will jump in ...
