It worked intermittenly the last couple times I had it out. Now the switch will not work at all nor the 4 wheel drive. I got the hood off exposing the wires. I checked all connections. The wiring diagram shows the power is coming from the hub safty switch and going to the front AWD hubs and then to the AWD switch. I have no power to the switch. (After 96 & 97 Polaris did away with the hub safty switch.) Any help will be appreciated.

Having light problems on 1983 Yamaha YTM200E. The lights all work when using the ignition key switch, while not running. However, when running and using the handlebar switch the lights will not work. Using the repair manual from Clymer, attached, I checked the lighting coil and voltage regulator. The lighting coil ohm test is within spec. However I cannot any continuity from the regulator between red and white wire in either direction. Got a used voltage regulator, but it failed the continuity test as well. Can anyone help? I took a quad in trade and was told that it was a blaster, thats it. Tried using the vin decoder in the stickies, but that didnt work. Tried other decoders none of them work.Im taking the vin from the frame in front of the foot peg, that matches the numbers on the engine, and when I put it into a decoder it tells me the vin isn t right. What can I do? thanks

Hey guys question, I recently bought a 98 Honda Forman 4x4 that has a non digital speedometer, the problem is the speedometer lights up and the little green light above the hour reeder (i think it is) blinks but the mph needle doesn't move when I'm driving and the trip meter doesn't count either. None of the dials move but its lite up. I was wondering if it is a cable rusted maybe or a sensor wheel stuck or broken that I have no idea where it's located can anyone help me diagnosis the problem so I can try to fix it Thanks for viewing this post! Please share any knowledge!

I have a 1996 kodiak 400 and the only time my tail light is working is when my lights are on. I have replaced the bulb and still no brake light or running light comes on without the head light being on. It does not come on when I use the foot brake or hand brake either. any ideas out there as to what my problem might be? Thx for the help!!! corkey

Hi folks, I am new to this forum and signed up hoping to get some advice as to what the problem is with the electrics on my timberwolf. The quad is a 2000 4x4 model, just bought it on the cheap a few weeks ago with electric start and lights not working. The starter makes no noise and no attempt to start whatsoever when the button is pushed and the lights dont work at all. It has a battery that has charge in it, so dont know why it wont just run off the battery, could it be a fuse? I saw a thread on here about electric start not working on a timberwolf, I got some info from that but think this problem may be different so thought I'd make my own thread. Any advice would be appreciated Cheers
