Sorry I missed this thread earlier...I would have reacted the same way. I think you did the right thing...she's your sister and you need to defend her. Same with your mom, brother..whoever you love. If it means you get a record..so be it. You did the right thing. Just make sure your sister is on the same page..sometimes these things turn out where you did the right thing and the people get back together because they make excuses for the violence or something. Good luck with all of this!!!

I think you can test it with an ohm meter looking for certain resistance values, but I'm not 100% sure.

Sometimes the battery just doesn not have enough juice to cank the motor fast enough, but appears good...like Bot said. Try the jumper back. Are you getting fuel and spark when you hit the starter button?

I would do exactly what outlander said, with zip ties along the frame, and run it under the seat on the eiger.

Can you manually move it back up? Does it move freely up or is it stuck down? For some reason your return spring is not working and the only thing to do is take it apart. Might not be the spring, could be a plastic retainer or something

You're going to have variances with engine rpm on an atv. Most atvs I believe run 14.1-14.8 volts unless rpm is below the optimum rpm. With a draw it should not go below the battery voltage. It still could be a bad battery. You should have it load tested.

Sounds like you are running out of fuel in the bowl of the carb. I would suggest taking the carb apart and looking at the float movement. Make sure that the pivot is not corroded. * Changed your thread title to folllow forum announcement guidelines -
Threads and posts are renamed by our moderators to be more search relevent and as descriptive as possible. For instance I just added the full year and manufacturer name. We do this in the branded forums to help get people to the threads they are looking for. Since your quad is stock, I would shy away from any jet kits. Have you inspected your spark plug(s)? Try replacing that first.
