    Age doesn't matter in my opinion, it's abuse, wear & tear. Quads if maintained can last a very long time. It runs good when warm, so it's probably jetted correctly..I think it's choke related. Have you tried starting it with 1/2 choke? If you spray some starting fluid in on cold start, will it start up faster?

    Hopefully you wont need to change the guts, but you never know. I would try and change the oil and gas. I've sunk many atvs, but if they are not dried for a while, it could be an issue. I've hydro-locked my pistons and had to remove the spark plugs then crank it to remove the water. But still good afterwards!

    Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Sounds likdtoo much fuel maybe? Wet and black? Like the plug is fouling out. If you take the plug out and clean it, will it fire up?

    Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Fuels and spark are the first things that I would check and it sounds like you have both. It might be a choke issue. Or it may still be a carb related issue. I would try spraying starting fluid into the intake and see if it catches, if it does, it's not getting fuel. * Moved thread to Polaris forum and added year, make, model, and issue to thread title.
