    the carbs are really easy to work on, clean it out good, fresh gas and run a few tanks with sea foam in it. you will need rings too. clean the tank out really good too. pretty basic bikes to work on. im in the process of rebuilding 2 myself ... you have the big red 200es ?

    dielectric grease every connection on the bike and more is better than less with the grease

    well i know if you have a bearing a certain size and you go to napa, pep boys or a bearing outfit, they really dont care what its for and just go by the measurements, i imagine you can do the same with a seal ...

    im not a carb guy, but just thinking if its popping, maybe it needs bigger jets to offset the high air volume ? does it have a stock muffler or aftermarket ? hopefully someone else can jump in and give an opinion ...

    i think bearings are bearings, usually made by a handful with multiple brands attached ,,, i think you are fine, probably just grease issue from now on ...

    popping and backfire is usually too much air, is the manifold boot ok with no cracks ?

    best thing to do is go on bike bandit or rocky mountain atv and see if the part numbers are the same for the years ...
